When Josh Welch from the Township of King in Ontario reached out to us about water quality, we pointed to one of our long-time customers in Castleton, VT. Castleton University’s Spartan Arena has been using REALice to build and resurface ice since 2013, with fabulous results and reduced cost. This is despite having a well water source that is high in calcium, for the floodwater.
In this Zoom call, Arena Director Steve Wolf shares his insights for making high-quality ice with REALice-treated cold floodwater, including his ice temperatures, reduced run times, the benefit of an early morning dry shave routine, higher humidity levels, and, above all, ice quality.
