Purchased with the help of Tacoma Public Utilities, Twin Rinks in Tacoma wasn’t sure what to expect from their new piece of equipment.
Using the REALice system, Tacoma Twin Rinks is getting crystal clear water without having to boil out the air.
“It saves them a ton of energy, and makes a lot better ice”, says Tacoma Powers Energy Conservation Manager, Jack Zeiger who is featured in the video.
“How much energy?”
Between 15-20% per year!
That savings amounts to about 12,000 US dollars per year.
