27 Jun Mississauga Joins Brampton as Repeat REALice Customers with Order for the Erin Mills Twin Arena
SWiCH Services Inc. is proud to announce that the City of Mississauga has ordered a REALice system for the Erin Mills Twin Arena.
This will be the second REALice cold water resurfacing technology installation in that city; the first being made at Iceland Mississauga back in September, 2017.
Mississauga has now joined the City of Brampton as repeat REALice customers in Ontario, and a growing list of other municipalities across Canada to have multiple REALice installations.
How much electricity is Erin Mills Twin Arena expected to save with REALice?
By using unheated water only for the flood water, the natural gas savings are pretty straight forward.
In terms of hydro savings, we are expecting Erin Mills Twin Arena to save more than 150,000 KWH of electricity per year.
This as a result of not having to apply extremely hot water to the surface that needs to be cooled down and by being able to reset the brine by 3F – 5F. This because of the changed properties of the treated water.
Here is a short clip of our upcoming newest installation in Ontario.
