REALice is technology for a sustainable future
REALice is 3-D printed, maintenance-free, and uses pressure to treat the water. It acts like hot water but without the expense of heating. Natural gas and electricity are saved, and CO2 emissions are avoided, without compromising the quality of the ice.
With REALice there are no other consumables needed like chemicals, filters, or membranes and there are no additional power requirements unless the static water pressure is lower than 43 PSI. It is a long-term, energy-reducing, and sustainable solution. It’s letting many arenas decommission equipment that would be replaced if they kept using hot water, like water heaters, storage tanks, and pumps.
