First-Timers

Colby College’s Jack Kelley Rink is a part of the amazing 4-year-old Harold Alfond Sports and Recreation Complex in Waterville, ME. This NCAA Division III facility bypassed the reverse osmosis system and water softener they had been using and opted for the REALice instead. This is their first season using REALice.

On our recent Zoom call, where we bring operators together to talk about their ice, Roger Blaisdell and Tyler Shores joined us from the home of the Mules to talk about their ice. They even told us what the Men’s Hockey Coach had to say about the ice.

Operator to Operator

If you’ve never joined us for one of our Zoom webinars, you should. You’ll meet operators, owners and municipal leaders who have turned their backs on hot water floods and are making ice that’s at least as good as what they had with REALice.

As for Colby College, it’s the first arena in Maine to install REALice. When they had questions, they reached out to Dave Manfredi and Steve Wolf at Castleton University’s Spartan Arena in Vermont for clarification. Dave and Steve have been using REALice now for 13 years. The growing number of REALice installations means operators are now proud to talk about their REALice ice more than ever before. They see the great ice quality they’ve got and the savings it brings.

Just hear what Roger Blaisdell has to say about their reduced compressor run time.
