City of Leduc uses LRC shutdown to install cost-saving devices

The City of Leduc released a press release yesterday highlighting their switch to REALice and away from using extremely hot water for resurfacing for the Leduc Recreation Centre (LRC).

The City of Leduc will be running cold this upcoming season saying good-bye to its reliance on hot water to create and maintain ice in the Leduc Recreation Centre (LRC).

“We couldn’t be more excited about this new technology,” says Mayor Bob Young with the City of Leduc. “With the facility shut down earlier this year, it was a no-brainer to utilize this time to install these devices that will help us save operating dollars after the first year of use. It only made sense to us, and it aligns with our Environmental Sustainability Plan.”
