5 ways to support your team while making the switch

Getting everybody on board with change is challenging.

Here are 5 ways to support your team while making the switch to REALice:

1.)  Install a mixing valve. This allows for occasional tempered water and people will be reassured that warmer water is available if ever needed.

2.) Encourage ice techs to talk to peers who have already made the switch. Contact us for our reference list.

3.) Challenge your crew to prove the application wrong (without violating best practices i.e. by-passing or trickle filling).

4.) Take the big league approach: Rogers Arena in Vancouver BC and Barclays Center in Brooklyn have set their resurfacing temperature at 100F for a start. Observe and then lower the temperature bit by bit. This slows down the transition and may help staff who are hesitant to embrace change or who resist new technology.

5.) Rent a system for a season first. This allows the operations team to get their hands on it before a permanent commitment.
